With 8 transactions, buying and selling on my own before becoming licensed back in 2002, I learned from the way other agents treated me, and it helped me quickly understand how to treat (and not treat) clients. The importance of getting details right in the contract, why it is critical to always answer the phone (texts and emails) and what can happen when you buy a FSBO.
Nothing beats real-world experience for a realtor . I was extremely fortunate to have a great first manager early in my career. He taught me how to craft clauses in contracts that would hold up to any situation. My desk was directly outside the closing rooms in our office, which meant I would hear many deals 'blow up' and quickly learned what 'not' to do.
I became good friends with our in-house mortgage lender and I soaked up every bit of knowledge I could from her. I also became a licensed mortgage lender for a short time as well. My personal transactions span the range of homes, multi-families, estate properties, investments, subdivisions, commercial, airbnb and hospitality, I even owned a campground for 5 years.
The culmination of these experiences give me a wealth of unique and powerful knowledge that most don't share.
Many of these opportunities no longer exist.
We no longer travel together with our clients.
And virtually managing transactions means no more in office 'learning'.
Those lessons have served me well over the years so I'm able to take care of my clients, anticipate parts of the deal before they happen, and make sure all i's are dotted and t's are crossed.
I have an amazing team behind me and aside me to make things happen smoothly, which is an immense benefit to my clients.
Helping hundreds of clients throughout my career has added strength in knowledge along with many connections (around the world). I'm proud to offer my clients extreme customer service. It's important to me that clients know I will be available to help them, provide resources and answer my phone/texts/emails quickly, which is not how the general public perceives many real estate agents. I like to be the difference. I set the bar high for myself and those I work with, to ensure my clients are well protected in the transaction, well guided from the time we meet til the time we close, and know they can count on receiving my professionalism and my best, always.
My investment into constant learning, vast experience and connections as well as digging under rocks for clients = BIG WINS for those I work for.
